What is Lip Filler?
Lip fillers, also known as lip enhancement or lip augmentation, is a procedure that aims to increase lip fullness, lip hydration and enlargement using injectable fillers made with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that our body produces naturally, so it’s completely safe to use as a filler.

What Kind of Lip Filler is there?
There are various kinds of fillers out there, but at The Shot Shop, we readily depend on the Juvéderm and Restylane family of fillers. Both of these types of fillers are extremely safe and FDA approved. They are made from hyaluronic acid, which as noted above, is a natural occurring component of your skin already.
What to Expect at a Lip Filler Treatment?
We will start out with a consultation to decide which filler would be best for your lip shape and desired outcome. Just in case we do treat during the consultation, plan for ample appointment time. We always plan for this when you make your appointment at The Shot Shop.
Once ready to proceed with your custom treatment plan, our expert injectors will get to work!
We start by injecting you with a nerve block, so the lip injection process should be virtually painless for you. The entire process could take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
At the end of the appointment, we will schedule a follow-up for two to four weeks after this initial lip injection treatment and then may decide to add more lip filler, depending on your needs. As with every treatment at The Shot Shop, lip fillers are very customized and patient dependent.
When Will I See Results?
Results from any lip injectable fillers are fairly immediate and you may even notice that your lips might look overfilled or swollen at first; this is completely normal, but will get better over a week or two.
