POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
BBL & BBL HERO
BBL delivers light energy to gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate
your skin cells to regenerate. In addition, the light energy penetrates deep into the skin to boost your body’s natural ability to
fight the appearance of aging. The result? Skin that’s naturally beautiful and visibly younger looking, year after year!
Post-Treatment:
- Feeling of warmth and redness: If the treated area is especially warm, red or swollen (sunburn sensation) within the first 12 hours, a cold compress can be used to provide comfort.
- Pigmentation: You may notice darkening of your pigmented spots, followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage.
- Swelling (Edema): Swelling is common and expected immediately following treatment. The first morning post treatment is when swelling is more prevalent, especially under the eyes.
Post-Care:
- Cleansing: Cleanse the skin two times a day with a gentle cleanser. Use your hands and gentle patting motions. DO NOT rub, scrub, use an exfoliant or skin care brush on the treated area. Use a soft cloth or soft towels to avoid any scrubbing. When showering, avoid getting shampoo directly on the treated area. Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until after skin has healed. Makeup can typically be worn once the flaking process is complete.
- Moisturizer: Moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over the treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry. Avoid any exfoliating polish, complexion renewal pads, vitamin C or any other irritative products for 5-7 days or until the peeling/flaking process is complete.
- Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a MUST and should be used daily beginning the day after treatment and used consistently for up to 3 months post procedure. Use a physical sunscreen with Broadband UVA and UVB protection and a SPF of 30. Ensure to reapply during sun exposure. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or protective clothing for 2 months post treatment to avoid blistering, scarring, hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation.
